Ilari Saarinen

Ilari joined PMC in the spring of 2023. At the time, he was looking for an opportunity to relocate to southern Finland when he came across a job posting on LinkedIn. The role caught his attention since the description felt like it had been written based on his own CV.

Ilari had a cautiously positive first impression of PMC, but what stood out after joining was the culture within the team. He realized that he had become part of a department with a strong sense of psychological safety, where people can openly share ideas, ask questions, and support one another. For Ilari, that creates a stable and secure working environment where people can perform at their best. He greatly appreciates his management line and enjoys working alongside colleagues who make every day both productive and enjoyable.

Ilari is motivated by good team spirit, design challenges and achievement. Few things are as satisfying to him as creating practical design solution and checking items off the to-do list. Seeing results and moving projects forward gives him energy and a sense of accomplishment. Business trips and meetings make his workdays more varied, engaging, and enjoyable.

He may not be the first person through the door in the morning, but once he gets going, he brings focus and determination to his work. He enjoys ending the day with a sense of accomplishment, which often means staying a bit longer to finish what he has started.

As an engineer, Ilari has a strong appreciation for good tools and efficient processes. His favorite tools are the modern design solutions that have been developed specifically for PMC’s needs. He values how well they support the work, simplify the design process, and help the team work smarter and more efficiently.
