Most of PMC’s customers have two questions about their hydraulic designs: How can we find room for all the technology? And how can we reduce the weight? PMC has a unique solution to answer both questions — a compact hydraulic tank that reduces the size to 50—75% of today’s design. Normally you want the exchange of oil in the tank to take place slowly so that the oil can emit air before it re-enters the system. By doing the opposite and accelerating the oil through the tank, the air is forced out of the system. This gives pioneering possibilities for companies that are able to modify the design or arrive at new designs with PMC’s help.
 
The design of the tank is based on the physical principle of separating two substances of different density through rotation, in this case the oil has a much greater density. which is used to de-air it before it is returned to the system. In its basic design, the compact reservoir has been in serially production since 1999 and has provided the mobile market with 25,000 units. Now there is a corresponding solution for industrial customers, and through smaller-scale serial production we can already offer deliveries to our customers.
